This WHS Code of Practice is a practical guide to achieving the standards of health, safety and welfare required und the WHS Act and the WHS regulation 2011 (WHS Regulation). 

This Code provides practical guidance for persons conducting a business or undertaking on how to manage the risks associated with respirable crystalline silica exposure in construction work and manufacturing of construction elements.

Within construction work and the manufacturing of construction elements, the Code concerns tasks that involve:

          using materials that contain 1 per cent or more crystalline silica content                     

          generate RCS, or make RCS airborne
