Contract of Employment - Apprentice - Small Employers

This Contract is only intended for Apprentices for Small Employers (less than 15 employees).  If you are a Medium or Large employer please download the Contract of Employment - Apprentice - Medium to Large Employer (which has the Right to Disconnect provisions in effect from 26 August 2024 for Medium to Large Employers).

The contract is not recommended for casual/permanent part time or full time employees (other than apprentices), as there are further provisions that need to be included in an agreement for these classifications.

Probation Period

Please check with your apprenticeship provider regarding the probation period as some states you can request to extend from 3 to 6 months.  (With the exception of Victoria and ACT where there is no provision)
