Fair Work Casual Employment Information Statement - Updated August 2024
Employers must
provide to both current and new casual employees on
commencement of employment, with an updated version of the
Fair Work Information Statement (FWIS). This document provides
changes regarding employer obligations for Casual employment
*******WHEN TO PROVIDE THE CASUAL EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION STATEMENT
This needs to be provided for all casuals at the following periods;
> prior to a casual commencing employment; and again after
> Small Business - 12 months of employment for casual employees of a small business
OR
> Medium to Large Employer - 6 months of employment, then every subsequent period of 12 months of employment
